About Us

Knox-McConnell Architects was established in 2007 by Ulrike Knox RIBA AABC. It is now a busy hub of experts providing specialised architectural conservation consultancy services to individuals and organisations responsible for historic buildings.

Ulrike has over fifteen years of professional experience in the heritage sector and has led teams of the most eminent crafts people and conservators on many outstanding grade one listed buildings. She is the Cathedral Architect for Bradford and over the last ten years worked closely with the Surveyor to St Paul’s Cathedral and was project architect for many projects at St Paul’s including the £11m Internal Cleaning and Conservation Project .

Ulrike is on the approved architects’ list in the dioceses of York, Bradford, Durham and Ripon & Leeds. She holds a number of honorary roles; 2010-2011 President of the Ecclesiastical Architects’ and Surveyors’ Association (EASA), member of the Ripon and Leeds Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC), member of the Ripon Cathedral Fabric Advisory Committee (FAC) and the RIBA representative on the Cathedral Fabric Commission for England (CFCE). She is an assessor for the AABC accreditation scheme for conservation architects.
